NEWS UPDATE: THINGS TO DO
1. On 27th February, 'Anthem for a Green England', our no eco-town song is released. Come to the launch at the Lamb Pub, Bilsham Lane, Yapton from 8pm, and let's see if CAFE can hit the UK charts!
You can buy a disc from Bisham Stores, Yapton or Merry Meats, Yapton or download via 7 Digital or www.monochromemuseum.co.uk. Funds will be split between CAFE and a local charity. Click here to download the song.
2. Do not forget to write in to the Department for Communities & Local Government on the 2nd phase consultation. The deadline for responses is 6th March.
3. Arun District Council have gone live with their 'Options for Growth' consultation. We must all respond and fill in their questionnaire, or go to www.arun.gov.uk and click on the 'Options for Growth' picture which will take you to the questionnaire.
This is totally separate to the eco-town process and will determine where the main greenfield development will take place in Arun District for the next 20 years. We know Ford eco-town is totally the wrong solution but Arun are asking where future growth should go, along with the rest of the district, so pens out and let them know. If Ford is idenfitied as the preferred option, it will greatly reduce our chances of stopping any development on these greenfields, let alone an eco-town. We have until 2nd April to respond to Arun District Council
